A second Duke Blue Devil has heard his name called at the NBA Draft.
The Charlotte Hornets have drafted guard Kon Knueppel fourth overall at the 2025 Draft in Brooklyn on Wednesday night.
Regarded as one of the most consistent and stable players in the draft, Knueppel enjoyed an impressive year in Durham alongside fellow 2025 draftees Cooper Flagg and Khaman Maluach.
Despite the star power at Duke, Knueppel managed to stand out as one of the better floor-raisers in the country, averaging 14.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 47.9 per cent from the field and 40.6 per cent from three-point range on over five attempts per game.
The six-foot-seven swingman is a quick processor of the game, always seeming to make the right play at the right time on both sides of the ball and his above-average shooting ability is something the Hornets apparently coveted.
His abilities helped the Blue Devils to a 35-4 record and their first Final Four appearance under head coach Jon Scheyer, where they eventually lost to the Houston Cougars.
