Fred VanVleet will represent the Toronto Raptors at the 2021 NBA Draft Lottery, a process which will determine the order of the top 14 picks in the draft, the league announced Monday.

The lottery has the potential to be monumental for the Raptors, who have a chance to move up and claim the first overall pick for the first time since 2006, when the team drafted Andrea Bargnani.

After finishing 27-45 in the regular season, Toronto is currently projected to hold the seventh overall pick. The Raptors have a 31.9 per cent chance of moving up into the top four, and a 7.5 per cent chance of moving all the way up to No. 1.

The lottery can be seen live on Tuesday, starting at 8:30 p.m. ET on Sportsnet 360.
