The Atlanta Hawks will be missing a young prospect this season.
Henri Veesaar sustained a right knee injury during a workout and was subsequently he was diagnosed with a torn right ACL, the team announced on Monday.
The second-round pick is expected to miss the entire 2026-27 season.
Veesaar, 22, averaged 17 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists over 31 games with the University of North Carolina last season.
The seven-foot centre would have slotted in behind Onyeka Okongwu and Jock Landale on the Hawks' depth chart.
