Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler will miss Wednesday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers, the team announced Tuesday.
Butler left Monday night’s 115-108 loss to the Golden State Warriors early after he tweaked his right ankle, checking out of the game with 22 points.
After the game, the hope — and impression — was that Butler was doing well, with head coach Erik Spoelstra saying that “He turned it. … He says he’s fine.”
The 32-year-old is averaging 23.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 5.4 assists and two steals in 22 games this season.
The Heat (23-15) are fourth in the East, they head to Portland (14-22) Wednesday night.
