Jazz's Donovan Mitchell entering into concussion protocol day after Lakers loss

Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell is entering concussion protocol following Monday's 101-95 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, the team announced Tuesday.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports the contact occurred in the second quarter of the game.

Mitchell leads the Jazz in points (25.5), minutes (33.5), and steals (1.6) per game. To go along with 5.2 assists and 4.0 rebounds in 40 games.

The two-time all-star was reportedly experiencing symptoms after Monday night's tilt.

The Utah Jazz (29-15) are fourth in the Western Conference and have won once in their past five games. They are set to play the Houston Rockets (13-32) on Wednesday.
