The Los Angeles Lakers will be without their star duo on Thursday as they try to reach .500 against the league's best team.
The Lakers (24-25) have announced that both forward LeBron James (ankle) and centre Anthony Davis (Achilles, hip) will miss Thursday's tilt against the Boston Celtics.
This will be Davis' second consecutive game that he's missed, after playing in 46 of the Lakers' first 48 games. The 30-year-old is averaging 24.9 points, 12.1 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 1.2 steals per game on over 55 per cent shooting from the field.
As for James, the 39-year-old is also averaging 24.9 points, 7.5 rebounds and 7.7 assists on 52 per cent shooting from two and nearly 40 per cent from three. He's been active in 44 of Los Angeles' games this season.
Just one player is on the injury report for the Celtics, as centre Luke Kornet is doubtful with a hamstring injury.
