LeBron James has further cemented his status as an NBA legend and he's done it on his 36th birthday.
With his fifth bucket of the night against the San Antonio Spurs, James became the first player in NBA history to have at least 10 points in 1,000 consecutive regular-season games.
The streak -- which began back on Jan. 6, 2007 when James was in his first stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers -- is easily the longest in NBA history. Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar trail James with 866 and 787 consecutive games respectively, according to the NBA.
Since breaking into the league as a 19-year-old in 2003-04, James has had only eight games out of his 1,270 where he failed to reach 10 points, with six of those games coming in his rookie season. For his career, the four-time MVP is averaging 27.1 points per game.
