LeBron James has become the third player in NBA history to score 35,000 points in his career.
James completed the feat with a successful free throw late in the second quarter of Thursday’s game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets.
The 36-year-old joins Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone as the only players in league history to cross the 35,000-point threshold. Abdul-Jabbar has a career 38,387 point total and Malone has 36,928 career points.
In 29 games this season, James is averaging 34.7 minutes, 25.7 points, 7.9 assists and 8.2 rebounds.
