Magic guard Jalen Suggs fractures right thumb, out an extended period of time

Watch as Rookie guard Jalen Suggs leaves the game with a fractured thumb after driving to the rim and passing the ball back out to the wing against the Sixers.

Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs has fractured his right thumb, the team announced on Monday.

Suggs left the game in the second half holding his right hand as the Magic took on the Philadelphia 76ers. He drove to the basket and passed out to the wing, resulting in the injury.

The Gonzaga guard in college was the Magic's first-round draft pick at fifth overall in the 2021 NBA Draft.

Through 20 games this season, Suggs was averaging 12.1 PPG, 3.4 RPG, 3.5 APG, shooting 33.6 percent from the floor and 24.8 percent from three.
