The Orlando Magic say forward Aaron Gordon suffered a left ankle injury during the third quarter of the team’s matchup with the Toronto Raptors on Sunday and will not return to the game.
The Magic say the 25-year-old will undergo further evaluation. He checked out of the game with 14 points, five rebounds and three assists in 22:45 minutes.
Across 18 games this season — his seventh in the NBA since being draft by Orlando with the fourth pick in the 2014 NBA Draft — Gordon is averaging 13.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists on 42.4 per cent shooting from the field.
Earlier in the game, Gordon received a flagrant-one foul after shoulder-checking Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry.
