Cooper Flagg couldn't make it through the final game of his rookie season.
The Dallas Mavericks 2025 No. 1 overall pick exited Sunday's regular-season finale due to a left ankle sprain.
Flagg had 10 points, four rebounds and an assist in just nine minutes before exiting. He hobbled to the tunnel to receive treatment before being ruled out.
Despite the early finish, Flagg is still the favourite to win the Rookie of the Year award. He entered Sunday averaging 21.2 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.6 assists.
Flagg recently became the first teenager in NBA history to score 50-plus points in a game.
