Dallas Mavericks forward James Johnson and Charlotte Hornets forwards Cody Martin and Caleb Martin have been fined for their roles in an on-court altercation, the NBA announced Friday.
The incident occurred with 2:40 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Hornets’ 118-99 victory over the Mavericks this past Wednesday.
Johnson, who has a history of such occurrences, intentionally pushed Cody Martin out of bounds and followed that by immediately confronting him in an aggressive manner. He was subsequently given a technical foul and ejected, and has been fined $40,000.
Cody Martin retaliated by pushing Johnson back (and made unnecessary contact with an official), and was also given a technical and ejected. He has been fined $25,000.
Caleb Martin, who is the twin brother of Cody, entered the altercation, and for that (as well as coming into contact with an official), has been fined $20,000.
