Leaning into their defensive identity, the Dallas Mavericks are extending a key contributor on that end.
The Mavericks have signed forward Naji Marshall to a three-year, $52.2 million extension, keeping him in Dallas through the 2029-30 season, ESPN's Shams Charania reported Sunday.
Marshall, 28, enjoyed a career year in the 2025-26 campaign, averaging a career-best 15.2 points along with 4.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.1 steals. He shot 51 per cent from the field and 29.1 per cent from three-point range.
A native of Atlantic City, N.J., Marshall has spent the last two seasons in Dallas since joining in free agency in the summer of 2024.
Over his six years in the NBA, split between the Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans, Marshall has averaged 10.1 points, four rebounds and 2.5 assists in 373 games.
