'Might be the best dunk in Canadian history': Warriors' Wiggins posterizes Doncic

Watch as Andrew Wiggins drives to the basket and takes flight to drop the hammer to put Luka Doncic on a poster.

Sometimes the term "posterize" doesn't do a dunk justice.

Golden State Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins may have proven that on Sunday night.

With just over six minutes remaining in the team's Game 3 contest against the Dallas Mavericks, the former No. 1 overall pick exploded to the rim over superstar, Luka Doncic culminating in a dunk that was heard around the basketball world.

"That was impressive. I’m not going to lie. I saw the video again, and I was like, 'Ooof.' I wish I had those bunnies," said Doncic of the dunk.

Initially the officials waved the play off, believing Wiggins had committed an offensive foul, but after a coach's challenge prompted by Steve Kerr, the call was overturned. The Warriors went on to win -- with Wiggins scoring 27 points -- and now lead the Western Conference Finals 3-0.

"When I seen the rim, that's all I seen. They tried to take it away from me but..." Wiggins said while laughing after the game.

Wiggins earned heavy praise from his teammates, with Klay Thompson comparing him to the human highlight-reel himself.

"What a game he had tonight. I mean, he was looking like Dominique Wilkins out there with the dunks he was throwing down," said Thompson.

On social media, fans, players and media reacted to witnessing quite possibly one of the greatest dunks in NBA post-season, and Canadian basketball history.
