The NBA has postponed two games scheduled for Friday, Jan. 15 between the Washington Wizards and Detroit Pistons along with the matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns because of the league’s Health and Safety Protocols.
The league says that because of contact tracing with the Wizards and Suns, the teams do not have the required eight players to proceed with games Friday.
The Wizards had their game against the Utah Jazz postponed as they didn’t have the required eight available players to take the floor. Washington had two players enter the league’s protocols in order to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
The Suns’ also had their game against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night postponed because the team played in Washington on Monday. Nine games this season have now been postponed.
