Brooklyn Nets general manager Sean Marks says guard Joe Harris will have season-ending left ankle surgery, the same ankle he previously had a procedure for on Nov. 29.

Harris averaged 11.3 points and four rebounds per game in his 14 appearances for the Nets this season, but has not played since Nov. 14.

Marks also hinted that Ben Simmons is still not close to making his debut as a Net due to a back injury, and likely will be out for at least another 10 days, including the March 10 game against his former team, the Philadelphia 76ers.

Simmons was traded to the Nets at the NBA trade deadline on Feb. 10 in a deal that sent James Harden to the 76ers. Simmons has yet to play a game in the 2021-2022 season.
