The Brooklyn Nets will have to continue pursing their first win of the season without their top scorer.
Cam Thomas was ruled out for the remainder of the Nets' game against the Indiana Pacers due to left hamstring tightness, the team announced on Wednesday.
Thomas appeared to be limping after attempting a step-back jump shot midway through the first quarter before signalling to the bench to come out of the game.
The 24-year-old guard is averaging 24.4 points, 1.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists in seven games this season. Thomas also led the Nets in scoring last season when he averaged 24.0 points.
After an 0-7 start to the season, Brooklyn is looking for its first win of 2025-26 against the Pacers, who have started the season 1-6 after losing in the NBA Finals in their previous campaign.
