Brooklyn Nets stars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving will not play against the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday.
Both Irving and Durant played on Sunday in the Nets’ 106-104 loss to the Charlotte Hornets. Irving was on the court for 36 minutes, tallying 25 points, six assists and three rebounds.
Durant also played 36 minutes while recording 29 points, four assists and three rebounds.
After Sunday’s game, Durant was asked about playing in back-to-back scenarios given that he missed the entirety of last season due to injury.
“I definitely want to be able to play back-to-backs, get through ’em healthy and play my normal minutes, so we’ll see,” Durant said post-game. “We will see how things go and we’ll talk about it tomorrow.”
