If you're heading to Madison Square Garden on Wednesday for the New York Knicks' first Eastern Conference Finals game in 25 years, make sure to check the traffic on Karl-Anthony Towns Square first.
New York City mayor Eric Adams has temporarily co-named a collection of streets in Manhattan to honour each player on the Knicks' breakthrough roster.
The street names include the team's stars with the aforementioned Karl-Anthony Towns Square, Jalen Brunson Boulevard and Mikal Bridges Block.
The Knicks also have an abundance of former Toronto Raptors who will be acknowledged with the following signs: OG Anunoby Alley, Precious Achiuwa Place, Delon Wright Circle and PJ Tucker Terrace.
In order to reach the conference finals, the Knicks had to first dispatch the up-and-coming Detroit Pistons and defending champion Boston Celtics. Their second-round triumph against the Celtics was particularly notable as it included consecutive 20-point comebacks in Game 1 and Game 2.
The Indiana Pacers may find themselves traversing Pacome Dadiet Drive or Josh Hart Street on their way to face the Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals at 8 p.m. Wednesday night.
The rest of the honorary street names are as follows: Ariel Hukporti Street, Tyler Kolek Lane, Miles McBride Street, Cam Payne Street, Mitchell Robinson Road and Landry Shamet Circle.
