New Orleans Pelicans sophomore Zion Williamson is the latest NBA star to be impacted by the league's strict health and safety protocols. The Pelicans announced that Williamson would be unavailable when they visit the Los Angeles Clippers Wednesday night.

This does not mean Williamson has tested positive for COVID-19. No timeline was given for his return to the lineup.

In nine games so far this season, the 20-year-old Williamson is averaging 21.9 points per game and 8.1 rebounds.

Celtics star Jayson Tatum and Nets star Kevin Durant are just some of the many players who have been forced to miss time in recent days due to virus protocols. The NBA has been forced to postpone games as well, most recently Wednesday's matchup between the Atlanta Hawks and Phoenix Suns.
