The Detroit Pistons lost star point guard Cade Cunningham to injury during Tuesday's game against the Washington Wizards.
Cunningham exited after just five minutes and was later ruled out by the team with back spasms.
The 24-year-old went back to the locker room after an awkward collision with Tre Johnson III, where Cunningham lunged for a loose ball and the Wizards guard hit his back.
Cunningham had six points, two rebounds and a steal on 2-of-3 shooting before leaving the court.
The two-time all-star has been a driving force in Detroit's success this season, averaging 24.9 points, 10.1 assists and 5.6 rebounds over 60 games entering Tuesday's action.
Detroit currently sits first in the Eastern Conference with a 48-19 record.
