Jared Rhoden is back with the Toronto Raptors organization.
The sophomore guard was signed by the Raptors 905, Toronto's G League affiliate, the team announced on Sunday.
Rhoden had previously been with the Raptors on an Exhibit-10 contract during training camp ahead of the 2024-25 season. According to Sportsnet's Blake Murphy, the organization intended for Rhoden to join the 905 roster following NBA pre-season, even acquiring his G League rights, but those plans changed once the Charlotte Hornets claimed him off waivers on a two-way contract.
The 25-year-old was waived by the Hornets earlier in the week, opening the door for a return to the Raptors' organization. In two games with the Greensboro Swarm, Charlotte's G League affiliate, Rhoden averaged 23.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.5 steals.
In 81 career G League appearances with Motor City (2023-24) and College Park (2022-23), Rhoden averaged 19.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 steals.
In a corresponding move, the team has waived sophomore forward Myles Burns.
Burns was selected by the 905 with the 11th overall pick in the 2023 NBA G League Draft and appeared in nine games this season, averaging 6.3 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.1 steals.
The 905 return to action on Sunday, hosting the Westchester Knicks at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga, Ont.
