The Toronto Raptors will be without two starters when they host one of the top teams in the NBA on Tuesday.

Head coach Nick Nurse announced that Scottie Barnes (knee) and Gary Trent Jr. (ankle) will both be out of the lineup against the visiting Phoenix Suns.

Neither injury is considered long-term.

Barnes is averaging 14.2 points and eight rebounds through 32 games in his rookie season. Trent, who also missed Sunday's win over the Pelicans, is averaging 16.4 points while shooting 42 per cent from the field.
