The Toronto Raptors will be without their top rookie for at least one more game.
Collin Murray-Boyles won't play against the Denver Nuggets on Friday (9:00 pm ET / 6:00 pm PT on Sportsnet One and Sportsnet+) as he continues to deal with a thumb injury, Darko Rajakovic told reporters.
Despite sitting on Friday, Murray-Boyles is very close to returning, as he is participating in live scrimmages and reconditioning, Rajakovic added.
This will be Murray-Boyles' 10th consecutive missed game, since he exited a Feb. 25 game against the San Antonio Spurs.
The rookie out of South Carolina has dealt with his thumb injury for much of the season, causing him to miss a handful of games. He suffered the initial injury on Dec. 15 against the Miami Heat and re-aggravated the issue in late January against the Lakers, missing four games as a result.
The 20-year-old is averaging 7.8 points and five rebounds per game on 55.7 per cent shooting in 22 games played this season.
