Fans anticipating the debut of No. 9 pick Collin Murray-Boyles will have to wait at least a bit longer.
The Toronto Raptors announced that the 2025 draftee won't be playing in their Summer League opener against the Chicago Bulls on Friday due to a left adductor strain.
He is expected to return for Toronto's second Summer League contest, a matchup against the Orlando Magic on Sunday.
Murray-Boyles, 20, was taken by Toronto out of South Carolina after two seasons with the Gamecocks.
As a sophomore, the forward took his game to another level, averaging 16.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks while finishing with an SEC-leading 58.6 field-goal percentage and 59.9 effective field-goal percentage.
Meanwhile, the Raptors opted to go with a starting five of Jamal Shead, Ja'Kobe Walter, Jamison Battle, Jonathan Mogbo and Colin Castleton against the Bulls.
