Toronto Raptors point guard Malachi Flynn has undergone a procedure to correct a fracture to his left cheekbone, the team announced Wednesday.

The injury occurred during the third quarter of the Raptors' pre-season win over the Utah Jazz on Sunday in Edmonton. After clearing concussion protocol, Flynn returned to the game.

The team says Flynn will wear a face shield when he returns to the court, which is anticipated before the start of the regular season.
