Toronto Raptors star Fred VanVleet is returning from a two-game absence against the Miami Heat on Saturday.
VanVleet, who’s in the midst of an All-Star-calibre season, has been dealing with soreness in his right knee since Jan. 25. He missed games against the Charlotte Hornets and Chicago Bulls, in which the Raptors went 1-1.
The 27-year-old point guard is averaging 21.7 points, 7.0 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals this season. He leads the Raptors in points and assists per game.
Former Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry, who has yet to play against Toronto since joining Miami, will miss Saturday’s game due to personal reasons.
