The streaking Toronto Raptors will be shorthanded as they look for their fifth straight win on Wednesday night.
Gradey Dick (illness) and Kelly Olynyk (right calf soreness) have both been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Washington Wizards, the team announced.
Dick was a late addition to the injury report on Wednesday. The sophomore guard has enjoyed a nice breakout campaign for Toronto, starting all 40 of his appearances while averaging 15.7 points and shooting nearly 35 per cent from three. He was named to the NBA Rising Stars roster on Tuesday and will make an appearance at NBA All-Star weekend in San Francisco.
Olynyk has missed the past two games after he left Thursday's win against the Atlanta Hawks midway through the third quarter because of calf tightness and did not return.
The big man has made 21 appearances for his hometown Raptors this season, averaging 7.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists while shooting 48.6 per cent from beyond the arc. Olynyk missed the first 23 games of the 2024-25 season due to a back injury.
After a tough start to the season, the Raptors have won four games in a row and six of their last seven to improve their record to 14-32. Meanwhile, the Wizards have a league-worst record of 6-39.
