The Toronto Raptors' long list of inactives doesn't appear to be shortening any time soon.
Jakob Poeltl (rest) and Ja'Kobe Walter (hip flexor) are among those who won't be in the team's lineup as they take on the Washington Wizards on Monday.
Poeltl, 30, has played in 50 games for the Raptors this season, averaging 14.2 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.2 steals in that span. The big man leads Toronto for field goal percentage (61.4), rebounding and blocks per game. The Raptors are 3-11 this season in games without Poeltl.
Meanwhile, Walter will miss his second consecutive game with a hip injury. The rookie guard suffered the injury in last Friday's win against the Utah Jazz, leaving the game after playing 18 minutes. Walter is averaging 7.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists through 44 games this season. Toronto selected the 20-year-old with the 19th overall pick in the 2024 Draft.
The Raptors will also be without Ochai Agbaji (ankle sprain), Gradey Dick (bone bruise), Brandon Ingram (ankle sprain), Jonathan Mobgo (nasal fracture) and Ulrich Chomche (MCL tear).
On the other side, the Wizards will be without Khris Middleton (ankle injury management), Marcus Smart (finger injury management), Malcolm Brogdon (ankle sprain), Saddiq Bey (ACL tear), Richaul Holmes (knee contusion) and Colby Jones (achilles tendinopathy).
Monday's contest between Toronto and Washington will be a swift rematch following a thrilling contest between the East bottom-dwellers on Saturday. The Wizards eked out a 118-117 win after a Jamal Shead buzzer-beating game-winner was waived off following an official review.
