The Toronto Raptors will be without their starting centre on Wednesday.
Jakob Poeltl has been listed as out against the Houston Rockets as he deals with lower-back tightness, the team announced.
Poeltl suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of the Raptors' loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Monday.
He played 24 minutes and went to the locker room early in the fourth before the team announced that he wouldn't return.
There wasn't one moment that seemed to force Poeltl from the contest, but the 30-year-old has been dealing with back pain since the pre-season.
On Monday, the Austrian big man shot just one-for-six from the field, scoring two points while grabbing two rebounds and handing out an assist. He also committed four turnovers and three fouls.
Entering the game against San Antonio, Poeltl had averaged 8.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists in the first three games of Toronto's season.
With Poeltl out, head coach Darko Rajakovic will turn to rookie Collin Murray-Boyles on Wednesday. It'll mark the six-foot-eight forward's first NBA start since the Raptors drafted him ninth overall in the summer. Murray-Boyles is averaging 9.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals through his first two appearances. Again the San Antonio Spurs on Monday, the South Carolina product racked up 19 points with three made triples on five attempts to go with three steals and a block in 24 minutes.
