There will be at least a bit of star power on the floor when the Toronto Raptors and Utah Jazz face off on Friday night in a battle of cellar dwellers.
Fourth-year forward Scottie Barnes will suit up for Toronto, the team announced pre-game. The one-time All-Star was listed as questionable entering the day due to a hand sprain that kept him out of the Raptors' win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday.
Barnes, 23, has undoubtedly been Toronto's most impactful player this season, averaging 19.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, six assists, 1.5 steals and 1.1 blocks through 51 appearances. He ranks within the top three on the roster for scoring, rebounding, assists, steals and blocks.
His last appearance came against the Washington Wizards on Monday when he put up 14 points, 13 rebounds and two assists in a 15-point victory.
Meanwhile, swingman Ochai Agbaji was ruled out by the Raptors due to an ankle sprain. He suffered the injury in the first quarter of a loss to the Chicago Bulls two weeks ago and will now miss his seventh consecutive game.
But the 24-year-old is "close" to a return and was listed as questionable entering Friday, head coach Darko Rajakovic told reporters pre-game.
Toronto also ruled out Jakob Poeltl (rest), Brandon Ingram (ankle sprain), Gradey Dick (bone bruise), Jonathan Mogbo (nasal fracture), Ja'Kobe Walter (hip flexor), Jared Rhoden (G League — two-way) and Ulrich Chomche (MLC tear).
Friday's contest will see the return of RJ Barrett (personal) and Immanuel Quickley (rest) after the pair of starters missed the team's last contest.
Utah will be without John Collins (ankle sprain), Keyonte George (foot contusion), Taylor Hendricks (fibula fracture) and two-ways Elijah Harkless, Micah Potter and Oscar Tshiebwe.
One-time All-Star Lauri Markkanen will suit up for just the second time since missing nine straight games due to injury. He did not play last Friday when Toronto picked up a 118-109 win over Utah.
The Raptors, winners of five of their last six, take on the West's last-place Jazz on Sportsnet360 and Sportsnet+, with tip-off set for 9:30 p.m. ET / 6:30 p.m. PT.
