The Toronto Raptors have signed 2022 NBA Draft pick Christian Koloko to a multi-year contract, the team announced Friday. The Raptors did not disclose the terms of the contract.
According to Sportsnet's Blake Murphy, the deal is for three years, where Koloko will earn $1.5 million in Year 1, followed by a minimum salary in Years 2 and 3. Murphy adds the Raptors used part of their mid-level exception in the contract.
Koloko, selected 33rd overall by Toronto, is a seven-foot-one centre who shares the same hometown as Pascal Siakam in Cameroon and averaged 12.6 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.8 blocks as a junior with the Arizona Wildcats this season, earning Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year honours.
The 22-year-old was also named to the All-Pac-12 first team and won Most Improved Player this season.
In this off-season's NBA Summer League, Koloko averaged 7.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.2 blocks and 1.8 steals over 22.0 minutes as a starter in all five of Toronto's games.
