Raptors' VanVleet leaves game vs. Warriors with hip injury

Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet walks off the court after an awkward fall following a three-point attempt in third quarter action against the Golden State Warriors.

Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet left Friday's game against the Golden State Warriors with a strained left hip flexor and did not return.

The point guard left the floor in the third quarter and was quickly ruled out. He played 19 minutes prior to his departure and tallied seven points and three assists.

VanVleet was averaging 20.1 points, 6.2 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game heading into Friday's contest.

Kyle Lowry, VanVleet's starting backcourt mate, will also miss at least another week with a foot infection. Rookie Malachi Flynn would figure to see an uptick in playing time during their absence.
