Raptors' Watanabe to miss Thursday's game vs. Wizards with sore ankle

Toronto Raptors forward Yuta Watanabe will miss Thursday night's game against the Washington Wizards due to right ankle soreness, the team announced.

Gary Trent Jr. was upgraded to available, while Chris Boucher and Paul Watson Jr. are also out.

Watanabe, 26, has appeared in each of Toronto's last 20 games and earned his second career start in Tuesday's loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Kagawa, Japan, native is averaging 4.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 0.8 assists on .450/.407/.815 shooting in his first season with the Raptors.
