Quentin Grimes is returning to the Philadelphia 76ers after all.
The restricted free agent guard has re-signed with the ball club, the 76ers announced on Wednesday.
Although the team did not disclose terms of the deal, Grimes reportedly signed a one-year qualifying offer worth $8.7 million, per ESPN's Shams Charania.
Grimes, 25, had been unsigned throughout the off-season as he sought a deal worth as much as $30 million annually, Charania also reported.
Instead, he'll settle for the one-year qualifying offer, which comes with a no-trade clause and sets him up for unrestricted free agency next summer.
Grimes averaged career highs in points (14.6), rebounds (4.3), assists (3.0) and steals (1.0) last season, which he started with the Dallas Mavericks before a mid-season trade to the 76ers.
Fellow restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga came to terms with the Golden State Warriors on a two-year, $48.5 million contract on Tuesday.
Earlier this off-season, Josh Giddey and the Chicago Bulls reached a four-year, $100 million contract, and Cam Thomas signed a one-year, $6 million qualifying offer with the Brooklyn Nets. Both players also endured prolonged negotiations as restricted free agents.
