The Philadelphia 76ers have given general manager Elton Brand a multi-year extension, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Brand, 41, has been GM of the 76ers since 2018 and has held various roles in the front office since 2016. In his time as GM he’s overseen the additions of Tobias Harris and Al Horford, as well as trading for Jimmy Butler from the Minnesota Timberwolves and ultimately signing then trading Butler away to the Miami Heat.
The 76ers finished sixth in the Eastern Conference last season with a 43-30 record and were swept by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the playoffs.
