Former Toronto Raptors centre Alex Len has reportedly agreed to a one-year contract with the Washington Wizards, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Len had multiple suitors, Charania reported, but opted to join the Wizards, a team in need of front-court depth.
Len finding a new home in Washington comes three days after his departure from the Raptors, who waived him after just seven games.
The bruising big man had fallen down the team’s depth chart at centre after signing the former fifth-overall pick to a one-year deal in the off-season.
Len, who’s also had stops in Sacramento and Atlanta after being drafted by Phoenix in 2013, averaged 2.3 points and 1.6 rebounds in 10.8 minutes for the Raptors.
Before being waived, the 27-year-old had missed three straight games for the Raptors. The first for personal reasons and the latter two because he was in the NBA’s health and safety protocol.
