The Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed to a contract buyout with centre Andre Drummond.
The move comes as no surprise as Cleveland was attempting to find a trade partner ahead of Thursday’s deadline. Since no trade came to fruition, the veteran has been bought out and is free to sign with a team of his choosing.
Drummond, 27, will reportedly entertain offers from the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Boston Celtics and Charlotte Hornets, per Yahoo Sports insider Chris Haynes.
In 25 games this season, Drummond is averaging 17.5 points and 13.5 rebounds. The two-time all-star hasn’t played since Feb. 12.
