Portland Trail Blazers rookie Shaedon Sharpe, a native of London, Ont., has committed to compete in the NBA's AT&T Slam Dunk Contest as part of All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City next month, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Sharpe, 19, is averaging 7.9 points and 2.5 rebounds in 19.7 minutes per game in 36 contests this season.
The Trail Blazers picked Sharpe seventh overall in this year's NBA Draft.
Sharpe committed to Kentucky for university, but never ended up playing in the NCAA.
The Slam Dunk contest is Feb. 18.
