Report: Cavaliers expect Evan Mobley to return early from elbow injury

Cleveland Cavaliers rookie Evan Mobley could make his return to the lineup earlier than initially expected, The Athletic's Shams Charania reports.

The Cavaliers are expecting Mobley to play, barring any setbacks, in their matchup against the the Orlando Magic on Saturday.

Mobley suffered a right elbow sprain on Nov. 15 and was expected to miss 2-4 weeks.

The 2021 No. 3 overall pick is averaging 14.6 points, eight rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.6 blocks while shooting 49.4 per cent from the field in 15 games played this season.
