The Boston Celtics and guard Marcus Smart have reportedly agreed to a new four-year, $77-million contract extension, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Smart set new career-highs this past season, his seventh with the Celtics, averaging 13.1 points per game and 5.7 assists. Boston selected Smart sixth overall out of Oklahoma State in 2014.
The extension will kick in for the 2022-23 campaign as the 27-year-old Smart has one season remaining on a four-year, $52-million contract he signed in 2018.
