The post-trade deadline free agent frenzy is officially underway.
After being released by the Chicago Bulls following the Zach Lavine, De'Aaron Fox blockbuster, forward Torrey Craig has agreed to a deal with the Boston Celtics, per ESPN's Shams Charania.
Craig has been sidelined for most of the season with various injuries. He has played nine games this season, averaging 6.9 points.
The 34-year-old is known for his stellar defence and solid three-point shooting. He owns a 35 per cent shooting percentage from beyond the arc in his eight-year NBA career.
The Athletic's Jared Weiss reported that Craig is expected to join the Celtics for a physical ahead of their game Saturday in New York. Boston traded guard Jade Springer to Houston in its lone trade deadline move.
