Free-agent big man Christian Wood is signing a three-year, $41-million contract with the Houston Rockets, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The deal is reportedly expected to be completed via a sign-and-trade.

Wood was one of the more underrated free agents on the market this off-season — a 25-year-old big man who can rim run and act as a roll threat in the half-court while also shooting the long ball and playing ever-improving defence.

Last season, Wood averaged 13.1 points and 6.3 rebounds on 56.7 per cent shooting from the field and 38.6 per cent shooting from distance.
