The Los Angeles Clippers "plan to sign" centre DeMarcus Cousins pending his clearance of the NBA's health and safety protocols, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Cousins is in Los Angeles, Charania reports, and has begun testing protocols to join the Clippers. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Cousins and the Clippers are discussing a 10-day contract.
Earlier this season, the Houston Rockets released Cousins to allow the four-time all-star to find a new home on the open market. Cousins has struggled on the court in his return from injury, averaging 9.6 points and 7.6 rebounds in 20.2 minutes across 25 appearances, 11 of them starts, for the Rockets this season.
