The NBA champions just added another piece to kickstart their season.
Dalton Knecht, a 2024 first-round pick, has agreed to sign with the New York Knicks on a two-way contract, ESPN's Shams Charania reported on Friday.
The Knicks will waive Kevin McCullar Jr. to make room for Knecht, Ian Begley of SNY reported.
The Los Angeles Lakers waived Knecht on Monday, ending the forward's two-year tenure in L.A. where he featured in 132 games, averaging 7.1 points and 2.2 rebounds per contest.
The Knicks are 0-1 after an opening-day loss to the LeBron James-led Philadelphia 76ers.
They take the court again on Friday looking to bounce back against the Celtics.
