DeMarcus Cousins has cleared waivers and is free to sign with any NBA team, The Athletic's Shams Charania reports.

Cousins was waived by the Houston Rockets on Tuesday. The move came after Houston guaranteed Cousins' $2.3-million salary for the season last week.

Cousins has struggled on the court in his return from injury, averaging 9.6 points and 7.6 rebounds in 20.2 minutes across 25 appearances, 11 of them starts, for the Rockets this season.
