Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns are reportedly targeting next Wednesday's game against the Charlotte Hornets for the superstar's debut in a Suns uniform, per the Athletic's Shams Charania.
The Suns acquired the 34-year prior to that All-Star break in a blockbuster deal that saw the Suns give up Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson and four first-round picks to acquire Durant.
Durant, a four-time scoring champ, has been sidelined since Jan. 8 with an MCL sprain. His addition to the Suns' lineup that already includes superstar Devin Booker and veteran point guard Chris Paul automatically makes Phoenix one of the favourites to bring home this year's NBA championship.
Now in his 14th season, Durant is still playing at an extremely high level and is considered one of the greatest scorers to ever play the game. In 39 games with the Nets this year he averaged 29.7 points per game.
The Suns currently have a 32-28 record and sit fifth in the Western Conference.
