Former Toronto Raptors point guard Dalano Banton has signed a two-year deal with the Boston Celtics, The Athletic's Shams Charania reports.
The Toronto native was the first-ever Canadian to be picked by the Raptors, going in the second round (46th overall) of the 2021 NBA Draft.
While there were flashes of solid play, Banton couldn't carve out a regular role with the Raptors in his two seasons.
The six-foot-seven Banton averaged 4.6 points and nine minutes in 31 games this past season.
Banton also spent time in the G League with Raptors 905.
