Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is being listed as questionable for Game 5 against the Miami Heat with a right ankle sprain, The Athletic‘s Shams Charania reported Monday.
The injury — which was a re-injury since Antetokounmpo had already sprained that same ankle in Game 3 — came with 10:18 left in the second quarter of Game 4, when the reigning MVP collided with Heat forward Andre Iguodala. He went down immediately, clutching at his foot, and was eventually able to rise and shoot two free throws before receding to the locker room.
Milwaukee went on to win the contest 118–115 in overtime to keep its season alive.
It is likely that Antetokounmpo will be a game-time decision come Tuesday, though ESPN’s Malika Andrews reported that he was seen leaving Game 4 with a protective boot on his right foot.
The 25-year-old is averaging 21.8 points, 11 rebounds and 5.3 assists on 50.8 per cent shooting from the field over the last four games against Miami.
