Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball has been voted NBA rookie of the year for the 2020-21 season, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
An official announcement is expected later Wednesday.
Ball, 19, averaged 15.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 6.1 assists in 51 regular-season contests.
The 2020 NBA Draft third-overall pick also contributed 14 points and four assists in a losing play-in effort against the Indiana Pacers.
